Meet CSD Adaptive
Proven experts behind equipment distribution and accessibility services.
CSD has operated a variety of Assistive Technology programs for over 50 years. As that work expanded across state lines, we brought it together under one name: CSD Adaptive. Today, we support California Connect, Reach Nevada, and iCanConnect California.
About
One partner for assistive technology programs
CSD Adaptive supports state and federal assistive technology programs from first contact to final follow-up. Marketing, outreach, eligibility, equipment selection, installation, and training all run through one professional ecosystem.
The programs we support serve people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind, along with people who have cognitive, mobility, speech, or vision disabilities. Our staff deliver services in each person’s own language and mode, including American Sign Language (ASL), Spanish, Tactile ASL, ProTactile, braille, and large print.
Each program keeps its own name, website, and state identity, with branding decisions resting entirely with the partner. CSD Adaptive works behind the scenes to support and maintain daily operations. Partners gain shared expertise and one point of contact as programs grow.

Our approach
Our approach starts with the people each program serves. We listen to residents, caregivers, and advocates, and we share what we learn with the agencies that fund and direct these programs.
Why CSD Adaptive
Our work now reaches more states and more communities than any single program name could cover. The name CSD Adaptive reflects that growth and our commitment to adapt to the needs of each state. The programs we support keep their names, websites, and services.
Part of CSD
CSD Adaptive is part of Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) (external link to csd.org), a Deaf-led nonprofit founded in 1975. CSD’s experience building accessible services with Deaf communities shapes how we support programs for people with all types of disabilities.
CSD Adaptive works with states at every stage. We can help you launch a new Equipment Distribution Program or expand the one you have now. Contact us to talk about what your state needs.
What we do
Services for assistive technology programs
We offer four services to state and federal programs, each built on over 50 years operating Assistive Technology programs.
Organizational Design Consulting
We help states design the staffing, workflows, and reporting for new or restructured programs, drawing on programs we built in South Dakota, California, and Nevada.
Marketing & Communications Consulting
Our outreach connects with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind communities, along with people with disabilities, in their own languages and modes, including ASL, Spanish, and braille.
Equipment Distribution Support
CSD runs the full consumer journey for California Connect, Reach Nevada, and iCanConnect California, including outreach, eligibility, installation, training, repair, and follow-up.
Resource Hub Development
Partners get accessible websites and resource libraries, plus planning support for service centers where residents can try equipment in person.
